About the Post

Courie Courie Bakery has recently relocated to a new production unit in Aboyne. This new role has been created to work with the head baker on product production for farmers markets, retail partners and for sale from the unit. You will involved and be responsible for the production of bread, pastries, scones and other baked goods, as well as other kitchen duties.

  • 0.6fte (21hrs) with potential to increase for the right person

  • Permanent position

  • Real Living Wage Foundation hourly rate of £10.90

  • We are looking for either an experienced baker or keen amateur baker willing to train up and looking for genuine artisan bakery production experience. Attitude is more important than qualifications however as all training will be given.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the head baker to achieve a high standard of product production and cleanliness.

  • Work as part of the team within the bakery and occasionally on outreach events.

  • Maintain organizational standards of service, quality and product delivery, and contribute to the development of the bakery.

  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene within the unit and at outreach events, and complete relevant documentation as directed by the head baker (training will be provided).

  • Solve problems and issues as they arise.

  • Represent and promote Courie Courie Bakery to customers in a positive and engaging manner
